TESTING OF IMPORTANT PROPERTIES OF SEED OF FODDER GALEGA (GALEGA ORIENTALIS LAM.), VARIETY "YU MARGARITA" RB-MAG 1/97 IN FR YUGOSLAVIA

In the 1992-1997 period, testing was conducted in FR Yugoslavia on five localities (agricultural-ecological areas) of the possibilities for growing fodder galega, variety "YU MARGARITA" RB-MAG 1/97 for seed production and its effect on: 1000 grains mass, seed viability, hard grain percentage, germinability and total germinability (hard + germinated grains). Considering that these properties of fodder galega in FR Yugoslavia had not been studied before, the results achieved also have a practical value. The weight of 1000 grains mass, seed viability, hard grains, germinability and total germinability are genetic properties of this variety and species, and variations by year depended on agricultural-ecological conditions of the year and the area where they were grown.
